Gosh. How is my sweet baby girl FIVE already?! Where did the time go?! I was glad to survive the party weekend - but then it was time for the big day itself. Here the Birthday Girl is right when she woke up and sat up in bed. I love this one!
And then it was time to get ready and head downstairs for breakfast...and presents!!! She could have cared less about the gift bags - the plasma car was the first thing she saw and immediately jumped on and wiggled on it and rode around the kitchen. So glad she loves it! And actually - Jack loves it just as much, so we may have to add it to his birthday wishlist :)
And of course we had to take a few pictures before jumping in the car to head to school. I thought her birthday shirt turned out so cute - and looked adorable with her Matilda Jane shorties.
The last year she will be able to hold up just one hand to show her age!

And we got a picture of Katie with her teacher this year! I don't think I had gotten a picture of the two of them together yet - she is such a fantastic teacher and wonderful person!

When we got home from school later that afternoon, Katie got to open the rest of her presents while Jack was taking a nap. She, of course, had to stop to look through the Sofia the First book.
We went to dinner at Chuy's with Brad's family - it is her favorite restaurant after all. She definitely had a great birthday...and it wasn't over yet! I kind of went out of order - she had a celebration with Nanny and Papa the weekend before her birthday...and then later that week, she had yet another party at Cee Cee's house! This girl knows how to celebrate, that is for sure! Check back tomorrow for the next installment of celebrating!
