This is a belated post for sure, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that I cannot believe that Katie is SIX! Goodness - how do I have a SIX year old!? Wow. Making me feel old!
On her big day, Katie woke up to balloons on her chair and Krispy Kreme for breakfast. Her presents were also up on the table that morning, but she didn't end up opening them until later in the day. Here she is with the balloons!
The birthday girl! And of course we had to have a special shirt for her to wear to school and it just so happened that it ended up matching some MJ bottoms - perfection!
Sweet girl now has to use two hands to show how old she is!!
At school that day, we surprised her and BOTH showed up to eat lunch with her! She was so excited. She also said that her whole bus sang happy birthday to her - so neat!
That evening we ate dinner at Chuy's (her favorite) and she got to open all of her goodies!
She got Julie (American Girl doll) and was so excited! I think that may have been her favorite - though she did like all the goodies to have her own lemonade stand. And we gave her an IOU for a new bike (which we just got her a couple of weeks ago).
And here she is over the years...bottom left is when she was a new baby then over and up to five with the big square as a big six year old!
Katie is tenderhearted, helpful, caring, loving, beautiful, curious, smart, and a bit sassy (I have no earthly idea where she gets that from - ha ha) .... and we are so blessed that we are her parents!
