Show Us Your Life: Favorite Vacation Spots

I decided to link up with Kelly's Korner's Show Us Your Life series today since it only involved pictures I already have on my computer!  Today's topic is favorite vacation spots!  It couldn't come at a better time...we are working on trying to find a place and time to go to the beach before BC3 makes his appearance - likely sometime in April!

Last year we went to the beach twice!  In April we stayed in Seagrove Beach, FL in a townhome literally right on the beach.  It was absolutely amazing to be able to just walk right out to the beach - and if you forgot something or needed to go to the bathroom, it was so easy to get inside!

Here are my cuties - I love pictures like this!
And here they are all cleaned up before we went to dinner at my favorite restaurant in Seaside - The Great Southern Cafe!  Love this picture!
And a family shot after we finished dinner.  I think Katie was a little worn out at this point!
You can find the blog post about this trip {here}!

And then in August, we went back to Grayton Beach, FL with a bunch of friends and had a blast!  We got there and unpacked and walked to The Red Bar for dinner...amazing!
It is so nice to be on vacation and have lazy mornings before getting lathered up and suited up for the beach!
Katie was ready to go!  Love this picture of her - hats look so cute on her!
Jack had the best time at the beach!
And here we are before dinner at The Great Southern Cafe with our friends!  Just as delicious as I remembered!
And another oceanside picture!  LOVE how clear and amazing the water is!
And a family picture before we headed home.  I always hate leaving the beach!
You can find the rest of this trip {here}!

We have definitely traveled other places that we love and cannot wait to visit again!

We went to Kauai and Maui for our honeymoon...
We went to St. Thomas for our first anniversary...

And as our "last hoorah" before kids, we went to Europe for almost three weeks!  What an amazing trip!  We can't wait to go back!

As a family, we have also traveled to San Diego, Phoenix, Kiawah Island, Auburn, Atlanta, Greensboro, Louisville, the beach quite a few times, and other places!  We are so blessed to be able to travel and experience the things we do!  Now, back to finding somewhere to stay at the beach in April :)

Hold Tight!

There are so many posts in a holding pattern until I get my new laptop, just hold tight folks!  YAY! I ordered a new one a couple of days ago and it can't get here soon enough!  My laptop is 6 years old, so it has had a good life...but it is so slow and I can't upload and look at pictures anymore!  Yes, that is a must for me.  So I will probably wipe this one clean and let Katie use it from time to time and then will be using my new one as soon as it gets here!  I have lots to update on, so just know there will be lots of new posts coming once the computer arrives :)

January Odds + Ends

In an effort to catch up with this ole blog, I wanted to try to finish catching up on January - oops!  Here are some of the things we did with some pictures (of course)!

Our friends' little lady, Olivia, turned 2 and had an Elmo party!  Isn't everything cute??
Katie, Avery, and Olivia thought it was great fun to hide and play under the table. Crazy girls.  It should be interesting to see how these girls play together as they get older!
Love this picture of these sweet girls!
And I caught Katie as she was about to dig into her Elmo cupcake :)
Jack was a wild man at the party!  I think he had a tooth or two cutting through - so he was nonstop and hurting.  Whew!  Glad I caught a smile though :)

On nice days when Katie is at school, I try to let Jack run around and hide in the bushes and all that at church before we pick Sis up.  He loves finding sticks and playing - such a boy for sure!
And Katie is just learning and growing and amazing every single day.  Love my sweet girl!

And the last day of January, the kids sported their Valentines shirts and we met Cee Cee and Will for lunch!  This was my best effort at a picture of the two of them together :)
Katie knows that if she cooperates, the picture-taking will be over sooner. Smart girl.
And every once in a while, Jack will cooperate for a picture.  This day did not appear to be one of those days :)
Katie loves sitting in the gigantic rocking chair at this place - I have to say I do too...you feel so tiny in it!
I love when Jack loves on his sister.  Although most of the time he wants a hug and then grabs the bow out of her hair.  Wild man!
Alright - I am slowly but surely making progress in catching up!  Stay tuned for more fun everyday as I make an effort to catch up!  House shuffling, Valentines, outdoor fun, more birthday parties, a Mommy-Daddy-Katie date, and more!

Circus Festivities

A while back, we headed to the circus when it came to town!  It was actually the same weekend as the Fresh Beat Band adventure - and we happened to get free tickets to both!  We must be doing something right!  Nick's mom thought of Katie when she got some tickets - so, so sweet!  We went with Tanja and Jill and Stella!  The girls were so excited to have a girls day....and that they matched :)

Before the circus, we headed to brunch and it was AH-mazing!  I ate my fair share of pineapple and potatoes :)  YUM!
Look at these cuties.  Think they were ready to walk to the arena for the circus?? :)
Let the show begin!  We had great seats and loved the whole thing!  Both girls watched in amazement the whole time!
She was wide-eyed the whole time!!
And we got a pretty good picture together!  Love my girl!
This was what Katie was excited to see - someone being shot out of a cannon!!
Tanja and Katie :)
Jill and Stella :)
One more of me and my favorite little lady!
During intermission, the girls had to get some snacks!  Katie got a box of popcorn and Stella got a snowcone!  They were so excited about their treats!
She loves popcorn at special events!
I love how intensely they watched everything!
And then confetti at the end!  What a fun circus!
Before we hopped in the car to head home, we got a picture of all 5 of us.  I didn't realize that Stella was hiding behind her elephant bowl until we were in the car - such a funny girl!  I sure love this picture!
I love a fun girls day out - and I know Katie does too!  Can't wait to find something else fun so we can have another girls day out!
