Matilda Jane Matching

As some may know, I have an unhealthy obsession with Matilda Jane and all of its cuteness.  I love that the colors are amazing, the styles are adorable, and it is so easy to mix and match!  I, for one, am way too matchy-matchy to steer away from the traditional matches, but sometimes I do like to get creative (the colors must match, though)!

Not too long ago, I was looking for matches for the Red Rover Bennys (pictures in the center below).  I could only think of one or two things that Katie had worn with them.  But then I looked and they happened to be hanging next to some things from having done laundry.  And it worked!  And then I was interested to see what else I could find...
...and then, before I knew it, I had created a bunch of new outfit possibilities!  And these are perfect for spring!  I love finding new things to pair together from pre-existing items.  I can't wait until my new things from this spring line arrive!  Maybe I will get creative and do some mixing and matching - and maybe even another blog post! :)

Finally Football Time!

This post was supposed to happen on Saturday - oops :)  Here it is anyway, though!  Only a few days late...

Ready for Football Saturday!
And their attire for a rare college football Sunday!
And we now have the banner hanging on the mantle to greet everyone (and I love looking at it on a daily basis...and it is nice for a change since I had the 4th of July one up until just last week)!
 Here is the Tennessee side...
And here is the better side...I mean the Auburn side :)
I am so glad it is finally football season - at least for now!  I am sure I will be singing a different tune come, ohhhh, October or so :)

Save the Date: Matilda Jane Show!

Save the Date!!! I am hosting my first Matilda Jane show this coming Tuesday, February 4!  The new spring/summer line, It's A Wonderful Parade, promises to have some amazingly cute pieces in it!  I can't wait for this first release!

If you can't make it in person, you can email my trunk keeper with your order Monday evening.  For more information on both in person and email, visit the Facebook event page, found {here}!
We are a big fan of Matilda Jane pieces at our house!  I love how you can easily mix and match different pieces for layering and different looks!  Here are a few recent pics of Katie sporting her Matilda Jane!

Not only do they have the cutest pieces for the little ladies...but they also have amazing things for us ladies!  I can't wait to see all the women's pieces for spring and summer!

Let me know if you have any questions! :)  The first release will go live on the website on Saturday and like I said before, you can email your order the night before my show to be included!

Stay warm - and check back for several posts in the works!

Stylin' + Profilin'

I may be dressed in workout clothes from the previous day, but I take pride in making sure both kids look pretty darn cute.  I have tried to step it up a notch for myself, but as long as my kids look cute that is fine with me :)  Thankfully, Target has some really cute outfit options for little dudes (which makes it more affordable).  Though I have to say I do love Mini Boden on the little guys - so adorable!  On the opposite end of the spectrum, Katie looks so old that she is in the little girl section and I just cannot handle all the fake glitter and heat press shenanigans and all that.  I do love Matilda Jane for her (among other brands like Flit + Flitter and Mustard Pie), which gets kinda pricey.  Thankfully, all the Matilda Jane items coordinate, so you can make multiple outfits with all the pieces!  And I mix in some Old Navy and OshKosh and things like that too!

When Jack wore this outfit to school, he really looked like a little man - I couldn't get over it!
And here is one more - of course an action shot.  What else is there with this one??
And I just love these pieces together - all the colors and patterns match so nicely!  And they are all good colors with Katie's blue eyes and blonde hair :)
I'm so glad at least one of my children has perfected the quick-smile-so-she-can-be-finished-with-pictures pose :)  Some days she will even ask me to take her picture!  I consider that a success - ha!
No, we don't dress up everyday - my kids were actually in their jammies all day Friday and Saturday which was kind of nice!  And they wear play clothes.  And athletic looking clothes (especially on gymnastics days for Miss Priss).

Hope you're having a fantastic weekend!  I'm off to relax and watch some of the Titans game while Jack takes a nap!

Consignment Finds: Part One

It's that time of year again ... CONSIGNMENT SEASON!! I am consigning at two local sales (one ready happened and one is coming up in a few weeks). One upside to consigning is clearing a bunch of the too-small-things out. Another is getting to shop early! At this one coming up, I'm also going to volunteer - so I will get to shop before consignors and I don't have to pay the registration fee!

At the sale that has already happened, I made $270!! Not too shabby! And I did spend most of that at the presale, but I did still make money :)

These are the 4 pairs of shoes I got ... 2 for both kiddos! And the sale is "boutique brand only"...so I was excited! Skechers, New Balance, Stride Rite, and Puddle Jumpers!
And these are all the clothing items! Matilda Jane, Gymboree, Gap, Mini Boden, football season goods for Jack, Polo, a $5 jacket for Jack...and other great things!!
The kids are pretty well-stocked for this fall/winter. At the presale shopping at the next sale, I think toys for Christmas gifts will be my main focus :) There's not much better than a good deal!

What's been your favorite find from a consignment sale??
