Chicago: Part Two

OK - now for Chicago: Part 2! We headed back up there, both of us, and driving, for my friend's wedding and for some sightseeing! We arrived just in time for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was so great to get to share this special time with such great friends! It was also really fun to get to see all of my new friends again, and introduce them to Brad.

The next day was full of all of the fun wedding things!! - hair, makeup, getting dressed, pictures, ceremony, more pictures (with some Black Eyed Peas "Ima Be", of course), and a fun reception! The bride looked stunning and it was such a wonderful day. We danced the night away and then the party moved to the hotel where everyone stayed!

Since the wedding was on a Friday, that left us one day for sightseeing! We got up early and drove into the city, checked into our hotel, and headed for Brad's favorite occasion - deep dish pizza at Gino's!! We then walked to Navy Pier and decided we wanted to do a river architectural tour of the city - it was so neat! After that, we did a landscape lake tour. I have to say I think I liked the river architectural tour better...but they both were cool! After that, we did some MORE walking and headed towards Michigan Avenue to do a little shopping. We were so hungry and decided to eat a yummy dinner (of course I can't remember the name of the restaurant though - it's owned by the same people that own Cheesecake Factory). I think we definitely packed as much into our one day in the city as possible!

We got up the next day and were so excited to drive home to our sweet girl. I have to admit, it was nice to do things on our own schedule, but man did we miss her! Hope you enjoy some pictures from the weekend! .....

Let the shopping begin! Magnificent Mile here I come!

Our hotel - so nice!

After dinner we stopped and sat at a park and people watched - obviously this is a self-portrait!

Before heading back to the hotel for the night - a full moon and Navy Pier ... pretty neat if you ask me!
