Welcome back to our house! :) I am linking up with Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life series again today. And today's "home feature" is the foyer! Ours isn't anything really special and it is hard to do anything major since it is so open (which we love), but it works for now! I have definitely seen some ideas on Pinterest that I'd love to do (in all my spare time - ha)...maybe one day! Anyway, here it is!
When you walk through the front door, this is what you see - straight into the foyer which leads into the living room. And if you were to come in through the front door, Sadie would not just lay there...she would want lots of petting and attention :)
And here are a few features - our console table with the lamps and Nashville print and a wedding keepsake, and then the wedding keepsake itself. The smaller Nashville prints are on the right hand side next to the coat closet - they are actually postcards and I bought frames at Pottery Barn to display them! And then the cross is on your left immediately after walking through the front door (before coming to the office).
And here is a view from the living room back towards the front door. I love the idea of doing a curtain rod over that area with curtains draping. And I'd love to get a rug for that entry area. In this picture, the office is on the right and the dining room is on the left. The office needs some TLC for sure - it is a catch all space right now, and we still need to bring a bookcase from my mom's house to put in there and organize office supplies, books, etc. Oh and once that is in there, we need to hang a few things still. And then I have done the dining room already, but we still need to get furniture for that space. One day. It will happen eventually.
